South Wales Fishing Society is a community-driven organization dedicated to promoting the sport, and conservation of fishing in the stunning landscapes of South Wales. Established in 2020, our club has flourished into a vibrant hub for anglers of all skill levels, from novice enthusiasts to seasoned experts.
Our mission is to foster a deep appreciation for the rich aquatic ecosystems of South Wales while encouraging sustainable fishing practices that ensure the health and longevity of our rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. Through education, outreach, and hands-on conservation efforts, we strive to safeguard the natural habitats that sustain our beloved pastime for generations to come.
Join us on our journey to explore, preserve, and celebrate the beauty of fishing in South Wales. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just dipping your toes into the world of fishing, you’ll find a warm welcome and a wealth of resources within our vibrant fishing community.
Club history
We are a community-driven organization of passionate anglers dedicated to revitalizing neglected lakes and enhancing their ecological health. Currently, we manage four waters through a mix of seasonal and day ticket arrangements. Much of our recent work has focused on Clyne Pond and The Pluck Lake, where we’ve built new pegs, installed signage, and conducted stock evaluations to create a better experience for anglers. We’ve also launched stocking programs across three of our lakes to support sustainable fisheries. Most recently, we’ve taken on stewardship of the Lower Lliw Reservoir — a venue that’s quickly becoming popular for its diverse range of fish species and rewarding angling opportunities
