Latest stocking at the lower Lliw reservoir.
A very special day for our club but more importantly Lower Lliw Reservoir and all of our anglers.
Our latest stocking took place today and I want firstly to thank our Vice Chairman Chris Jones and our head Bailiff Joe O’Connor for facilitating and taking pictures.
We stocked 1429lb worth of trout which mainly consisted of rainbows and blues between 2-3lb.
You asked and we delivered, we stocked 10 Giant Rainbow trout with most over 15lb with the biggest being 18lb.
This sets us apart as there’s nowhere in Swansea If not Wales you can target trout to this size.
Fishing at Lower Lliw Reservoir will remain closed and will reopen on Monday 04/11 at 8 AM
We have decided to place a fish bounty, the person to catch the 1st trout over 10lb ( we need a picture of the fish and the weight ) will win 3 pleasure tickets to be used when they wish.
A reminder that any fish over 5lb is to be released, anyone caught with a fish over 5lb will be BANNED permanently from all of our waters and their details will be reported to the relevant authorities as this will be deemed as theft as stated in our rules.
We will be stepping up our bailiff patrols this will include multiple patrols a day and also night patrols. With this In mind, we remind you that night fishing is not permitted at the venue.
